An incredibly rare snow, perhaps a once in a decade kind of snow BELOW the peaks of the Superstition Mountains. One of the most incredible sights I've ever seen here exploring for nearly two decades.
The sun breaks through a dense fog as it begins to set behind Mitchell butte just outside of Monument Valley tribal park. The silhouette of the butte enshrouded by the golden hues of the illuminated fog.
High above the San Juan river as it winds through canyon country from a stunning overlook with views stretching out as far as Monument Valley, which can be seen on the horizon.
Soft morning sunrise light begins to paint comb ridge in warm hues as the San Juan river provides a nice cool contrast. The bears ears and Abajo mountains loom on the horizon.
Rich warm reflected light makes this section of canyon glow like a candle. The contrast of the silty blue water and the warm light was a treat throughout the canyon.
A mirrored reflection of some of the stunning sandstone walls in Paria Canyon. The slight splash of green foliage provides a bit of contrast to the scene.
